About The Position

La Petite Academy is hiring an Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher to provide daily care and learning experiences for children. The teacher follows licensing guidelines and company standards, observes and assesses children, plans learning activities, communicates with families, and completes training on child care, preschool, and child development. The role uses the company’s proprietary curriculum to create fun, interactive learning experiences.

Candidates should be energetic, dependable, and passionate about working with children. They must be at least 18 years old, meet state requirements for background checks, immunizations, CPR/First Aid, and mandated reporter training, and be able to work indoors or outdoors and participate in physical activities with children. Compensation is based on position, education, and experience. Lead Teacher pay is $19.56–$20.32. The work week is Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have at least 6 months of experience leading an early childhood classroom and creating educational lesson plans in a licensed center.
• Have a minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units.
• Meet state requirements for background checks, immunizations, CPR/First Aid, and mandated reporter training.

Responsibilities
