Industrial Painter
About The Position
Power Mechanical, Inc is currently seeking hardworking, career-oriented individuals of good character to fill an Industrial Painter position within our organization. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to: Following a schedule as determined by their Supervisor, Selecting the appropriate tools necessary to execute the job, Prepping/cleaning/drying the surface for paint, Mixing/preparing the paints to be used per job specifications, Utilize a variety of techniques and tools in painting surfaces, Responsible for the application of industrial coatings in confined spaces, Assist to appropriately rig large objects for the purpose of moving them in the process of applying the industrial coatings, Suggest tools and equipment to improve the operation of the unit, Using a thickness gauge to measure paint ratios, Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment and observe good safety habits, Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat Procedures with respect to the storage and handling of materials in the area, Responsible for reporting malfunctions of equipment or processing to the supervisor, Utilizing special safety equipment such as self-contained suits or protective eyewear, Performing cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area. The employee will quickly learn the industry as they progress in their position. We focus on character and adaptability so the applicant must have a professional demeanor, be punctual, and a team player who is focused and self-driven. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience with automotive and/or industrial coatings application is preferred
- Familiarity with various types of metal abrasive treatments such as media-blasting, chemical etching, degreasers, etc.
- Ability work independently
- Being a self-starter who can be productive without micromanaging
- The willingness to learn, be dependable, and have a good work ethic
- A Team Player attitude where individual can contribute their effort to group tasks and goals
- The ability to safely lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
- Operations will sometime require the use of ladder and painting overhead
- Frequent work at elevation
- Frequent pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged standing
- Use of a respirator
- Work in various climates
- Must have a professional demeanor
- Must be punctual
- Must be a team player who is focused and self-driven
- Passing all background checks
Nice To Haves
- Auto Body and/or Industrial Painting certification preferable
