About The Position
Interfor is hiring an Industrial Millwright in Thomaston, Georgia, to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair sawmill equipment so the operation runs safely and efficiently. The role suits an experienced industrial maintenance professional with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose equipment problems, reduce downtime, and support reliable operations. Pay is $29.21–$40.74 per hour, based on skill level and experience. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a $1.25-per-hour night-shift differential, and a performance-based quarterly gainshare bonus. Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees must be able to work in varying seasonal climate conditions. Requirements
- Two to four years of millwright-level experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.

- Prior manufacturing, warehouse, or lumber operations experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand equipment drawings and blueprints.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Cut, weld, and fabricate different types of steel.
- Assess and repair machinery and hydraulic problems in a timely manner.
- Determine shaft sizes, measure up, and build replacement shafts.
- Recognize and replace sprockets, bearings, chains, and similar components.
- Follow the lock-out policy by turning off the power source, locking out the machine, and testing to ensure isolation.
- Submit work requests and complete work orders.
