About The Position

The Industrial Millwright is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks within a manufacturing facility. This includes working with machinery, electrical systems, and various construction-related skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant. The role requires adherence to strict safety protocols, availability for overtime and emergency call-ins, and a willingness to travel and pursue further education.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing facility
  • Understanding of OSHA safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Able to read and follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Experience in industrial or commercial maintenance for a minimum of 2 years
  • Thorough knowledge of Lock out Tag out procedures
  • Familiarity with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) standards
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Experience performing Masonry, Carpentry, Regular Pipe Fitting, Stainless Pipe Fitting, Metal Fabrication, Slitter Knife Grinding, Lift Truck Repair, Machine Repair/Rebuild (Pumps, Refiners, Drives), Instrumentation, Oiling, Compressed Air Maintenance, Lathe & Milling Machine (Minor), Electronic/PLC Fundamentals, Electrical - Low Voltage, Vibration Analysis, Precision Roll Grinding, Welding, Blueprint Reading, Micromatic Reading, Optical Alignment, Bridgeport Mill, Engine Lathe, Laser Alignment, Sand Filter Maintenance, Boiler Steam Systems, Rigging, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Fire Protection Systems, Heavy Equipment Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair on machinery, including pumps, refiners, and drives.
  • Conduct pipe fitting, including regular and stainless steel pipe.
  • Perform metal fabrication and slitter knife grinding.
  • Maintain lift trucks and perform machine repair/rebuilds.
  • Work with instrumentation, oiling systems, and compressed air systems.
  • Operate lathe and milling machines for minor tasks.
  • Understand electronic/PLC fundamentals and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Perform vibration analysis and precision roll grinding.
  • Conduct welding and read blueprints.
  • Perform micromatic and blueprint reading.
  • Conduct optical alignment, laser alignment, and Bridgeport mill operations.
  • Operate an engine lathe.
  • Maintain sand filters and work with boiler steam systems.
  • Perform rigging and work with hydraulics/pneumatics.
  • Maintain fire protection systems.
  • Operate heavy equipment.
  • Follow safety rules, including specific task-related safety rules and OSHA standards.
  • Use all required safety equipment and complete training.
  • Be available for emergency call-ins 24/7 and work shifts as needed.
  • Perform work involving stooping, bending, working on scaffolds, climbing, and working at heights.
  • Clean up work areas at the end of each day.
  • Notify supervisor of dangerous situations and document corrective actions.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel to other TRP mills and offices as required.
  • Further education through training and seminars.
