About The Position

This role is for an Industrial Mechanical Technician, Mid Skilled, in Memphis, TN, with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits starting day one, employee perks, a daily pay program, advancement opportunities, training, and company-provided safety apparel and uniforms.

Requirements

Working knowledge of using hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
Ability to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment.
Ability to perform welding, using a cutting torch.
Ability to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Must be able to use fall protection equipment.
Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.
0-5 years of mechanical experience and/or 1-2 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.

Experience: 1-2 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to "Safety First" expectations including PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment in conformance with established standards.
Complete assigned tasks with varying levels of supervision, from direct supervision to independent work, depending on task complexity and employee development.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures, and provide work order feedback on discrepancies.
Use hand and power tools daily, including grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, hydraulic pullers, and rigging equipment.
Perform welding and use a cutting torch.
Operate and possess knowledge of heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, and scaffolding, utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary.
Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth in performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
Communicate with team members to assist in short- and long-range planning to support company goals.
Maintain personal tools required for the job, including an up-to-date documented personal tool list.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
