About The Position

This role involves performing repairs and preventive maintenance on various industrial equipment in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment. The technician will be expected to work without supervision and contribute to the development of maintenance standards.

Requirements

High school degree or an approved GED.
5+ years' experience in industrial maintenance and/or 4+ years education in industrial maintenance technologies / engineering.
Working knowledge of hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
Ability to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment.
Ability to perform welding, using a cutting torch.
Ability to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Ability to work without supervision.
Ability to work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
Ability to observe details at close range.
Ability to control precision.
Ability to perform manual dexterity tasks.
Ability to perform substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds).
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.

AA degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment.
Ensure repairs and preventive maintenance are performed in conformance with established standards.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures.
Provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
Use hand and power tools, including grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, hydraulic pullers, and rigging equipment.
Perform welding and use a cutting torch.
Operate heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, and scaffolding, utilizing fall protection equipment.
Ensure compliance with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
Communicate with team members to assist in short- and long-range planning.
Maintain personal tools required for the job and provide a documented personal tool list.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
