Requirements

Working knowledge of using hand/power tools.
Working knowledge of precision alignment.
Working knowledge of rigging.
Working knowledge of pipefitting.
Working knowledge of welding.
Working knowledge of blueprint reading.
Working knowledge of mathematics.
Working knowledge of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
Ability to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment.
Ability to perform welding, using a cutting torch as required.
Ability to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Ability to work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary.
Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
Ability to perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Ability to maintain positive customer and employee relations.
0-5 years of mechanical experience and/or 1-2 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment.
Ensure repairs and preventive maintenance are performed in conformance with established standards.
Complete tasks with direct supervision or independently, depending on the assignment and employee's development.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures.
Provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
Use hand and power tools daily, including power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment.
Perform welding and use a cutting torch as required.
