About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs routine activities throughout the facility to maintain production equipment and prevent downtime. These activities include preventive maintenance, daily equipment repairs, following up on work orders, and troubleshooting to identify equipment issues. This role is also required to periodically be on call to cover non routine maintenance activities that occur during off hours.

Proactive maintenance mindset.
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic mathematical and computer skills (create and fill out work orders on a web-based system).
Ability to work independently maintaining high standards.
Must be able to be on-call for afterhours call in and overtime as needed.
Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
Unrestricted ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, ladders and balance.
Unrestricted ability to use hands and arms.
Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move 55 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Successfully pass an interview, background check and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot industrial electric and pneumatic pumps and motors.
Repair and rebuild gear pumps and diaphragm pumps from ¾” to 3” sizes.
Change mechanical seals in pumps.
Perform shaft alignment for pumps.
Perform minor electrical work.
Conduct general facility upkeep and routine repairs.
Follow up on work orders.
Comply with all safety regulations and policies to ensure work is done in a safe manner.
Maintain inventory of spare parts list.
Perform other duties as assigned.
