About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs repairs and preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow-mold equipment, and facility systems. The technician follows company Good Manufacturing Practices and maintains equipment in optimal processing condition. Work is performed in a production environment and may include operating blow-mold or injection machines. Duties may vary by plant based on its equipment and design. Specific tasks are assigned by a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or Supervisor; unusual problems receive assistance, and work is reviewed for the application of sound professional judgment. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

Basic mathematical skills.
Basic computer skills.
Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
Excellent attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of maintenance experience, specifically in manufacturing.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
OSHA forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Follow corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Install, adjust, and repair blow-mold, trimmer, palletizer, and related equipment.
Perform mold, neck-tooling, pin, and other equipment changes.
Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses.
Inspect, rebuild, and replace valves and pumps.
Perform preventive maintenance on related equipment.
Maintain machines in optimal processing condition.
Weld, fabricate, and repair machines.
Troubleshoot equipment, identify root problems, and repair blow-mold, bagger, and support equipment.
May operate blow-mold or injection machines.
Communicate frequently with other departments.
Follow company Good Manufacturing Practices.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
