About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow-mold equipment, and facilities. The technician is responsible for following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices and maintaining equipment in optimal processing condition. Duties may vary by plant depending on its equipment and design. The role receives instructions on specific tasks from a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or Supervisor; assistance is provided with unusual problems, and work is reviewed for sound professional judgment. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

Basic mathematical skills.
Basic computer skills.
Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
Excellent attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of maintenance experience, specifically in the manufacturing industry.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
OSHA forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations.
Install, adjust, and repair blow-mold, trimmer, palletizer, and related equipment.
Perform mold, neck tooling, pin, and other equipment changes.
Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses.
Inspect, rebuild, and replace valves and pumps.
Perform preventive maintenance on related equipment.
Maintain machines in optimal processing condition.
Weld, fabricate, and repair various machines.
Troubleshoot, locate root problems, and repair blow-mold, bagger, and support equipment.
May operate blow-mold or injection machines.
Communicate frequently with other departments.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
