About The Position

Accelevation is offering a Registered Apprenticeship opportunity in partnership with Sinclair Community College for an Industrial Maintenance Technician - Power role. This program combines on-the-job learning with classroom education, fully paid for by Accelevation. Apprentices will receive pay increases as skill milestones are achieved, payment for books and expenses, and dedicated time to attend classes while on the clock. The program is designed in coordination with and recognized by the State of Ohio. Upon completion of this approximately 2-year program, apprentices will receive an Industrial Maintenance Technician short-term certificate from Sinclair, a journeyman card recognized by the State of Ohio, and continued employment opportunities with Accelevation in roles such as Test Technician, Maintenance Technician, Field Installation, and leadership. Through this program, apprentices will develop foundational skills in electrical systems, product maintenance and testing, and blueprint interpretation, gaining a comprehensive understanding of power products from assembly through testing and installation to ensure high-quality standards. Apprentices will have the opportunity to rotate through different departments and work with various leaders and experts.

Requirements

  • Must be currently employed by Accelevation.
  • Must have completed the introductory period (90-days).
  • Must be in good standing and have fewer than 4 attendance points.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required to enroll in Sinclair.
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a letter grade of C or above while enrolled in the program.
  • Must be able to pass the entrance exam to Sinclair, which includes math placement.
  • Must reside in Ohio.
  • Openness to travel to field sites and other manufacturing sites.
  • Strong time management skills are required to balance classroom time, homework, and work.
  • Must demonstrate Accelevation's 6 core values.

  • Employees must be able to talk, hear, and frequently sit, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is required.
  • Vision requirements include close and color vision and focus adjustment.

Responsibilities
