About The Position

IntelliSource is hiring a full-time Industrial Equipment Mechanic for a night-shift career placement with its partner. The mechanic ensures continuous operation of essential machinery by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex industrial equipment. The role supports production, productivity, safety, and plant reliability. The position is based in a state-of-the-art facility and offers benefits and opportunities for growth. The mechanic performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; interprets technical documentation; uses diagnostic tools; follows safety procedures; prioritizes repairs independently; and documents maintenance activity. The work takes place in an industrial environment and involves physical activity, exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, chemicals, and fumes, and use of required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Technical certification or associate's degree in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial equipment maintenance or a similar role.
Proven ability to work independently or with minimal supervision during night shifts.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies and best practices.
Ability to troubleshoot complex industrial machinery across multiple systems.
Expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, components, and repair.
Competence with industrial electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and PLCs.
Skilled mechanical repair involving components such as bearings, gears, conveyors, pumps, and valves.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, calipers, micrometers, and vibration analysis equipment.
Thorough understanding of and strict adherence to safety procedures, especially LOTO.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
Ability to work in an industrial environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to dust, chemicals, and fumes.
Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays, as operational needs require.

Nice To Haves

Certifications in electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
Experience with manufacturing equipment such as packaging equipment, CNC machines, or heavy industrial equipment.
Experience working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and scheduled preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.
Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Work on industrial electrical systems, including motors, controls, wiring, and sensors.
Repair mechanical equipment by replacing worn components, rebuilding assemblies, and ensuring precision alignment.
Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repairs and installations.
Use diagnostic tools to identify equipment failures and verify repairs.
Follow safety procedures and protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Prioritize repair tasks and independently determine effective and efficient solutions to equipment issues.
Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
