About The Position

Wiese is seeking an equipment mechanic to repair customers’ material handling equipment. The Service Technician works on a range of equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, utility vehicles, and floor care equipment, and serves as a point of contact between Wiese and its customers. The technician represents the company professionally while providing mechanical services and customer service.

The role requires safe, high-quality work, effective workload management, communication with customers before repairs, and completion of required paperwork and online work orders. Technicians may also recommend additional Wiese services or equipment based on customer needs.

Requirements

• Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and self-manage.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and crouch or crawl in confined areas.
• Comfort working at heights above 15 feet.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record may apply.
• Provide own hand tools.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and ability to quickly learn company software to complete online work orders.
• Demonstrable verbal and non-verbal customer service skills.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, comprehensive background record check, and motor vehicle record check, and proof of employment eligibility through E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Actively support, promote, and lead safety initiatives; follow safety policies and procedures; work safely and report unsafe work or environments to management.
• Troubleshoot customer equipment problems.
• Confer with customers and obtain approval before making repairs.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork.
• Provide customer service, including offering additional Wiese services, value-added items, and equipment based on potential customer needs.
• Manage workload effectively.
• Perform hazard assessments for each job and maintain safe work practices and quality control.
