About The Position

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within an industrial manufacturing or production environment. This role ensures that all electrical components operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations to minimize downtime and support production goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Valid electrician’s license (if required by state/local regulations).
  • 3+ years of industrial electrical experience (or as required).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Understanding of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of industrial automation systems
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills

  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Experience pulling electrical wiring through electrical conduit and terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets, and various electrical devices along with installing and connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, or other components and systems.
  • Must have experience with installing, bending and removing conduit and installing and replacing lighting fixtures/systems, and with electrical panels, transformers, switches, motors, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in machinery and equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve system reliability and efficiency.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests and minimize equipment downtime.
