About The Position

Flexcon Company, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Custodian to maintain the overall presentation and acceptable appearance of its plants and offices. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing facility areas, restrooms, windows, furniture, and fixtures; removing trash; and keeping janitorial storage areas organized and safe. The custodian follows procedures for cleaning products and power equipment, handles minor facility repairs, tracks cleaning and maintenance supplies, and reports issues requiring major repairs. Other routine maintenance duties may be assigned.

Requirements

1–3 years of related facilities experience.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Perform general cleaning, dusting, disinfecting, and vacuuming, and clean spills and unexpected messes.
Follow procedures and specifications for using cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors or fixtures.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Remove trash from offices and plants.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning materials and tools.
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks.
Identify and report possible repairs, and complete minor facility repairs.
Manage inventory of cleaning and maintenance items.
Keep the janitor office and closets clean, organized, and safe.
Notify the manager about the need for major repairs or building additions.
Perform other routine maintenance duties as assigned.
