About The Position

The Industrial Assistant Operator sets up and operates industrial cleaning equipment, including high-pressure pumps, hydro-blasting systems, and vacuum units, following operational guidelines, training, and safety procedures. The role performs manual cleaning and maintenance on tank equipment and facility components in heavy industrial settings such as refineries and power plants. It also supports equipment inspections and helps ensure work areas are safe before jobs begin. The position requires extended travel and involves customer interaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel for extended periods.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
• Must undergo a physical examination and pre-employment screenings, including driver’s abstract review and drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate high-pressure pumps, hydro-blasting systems, and vacuum units in accordance with operational guidelines, training, and safety procedures.
• Complete safety paperwork and comply with operational training, guidelines, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Work safely around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, heavy industrial settings, including refineries and power plants.
• Perform manual cleaning and maintenance, including installing, fitting, and repairing valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other tank equipment.
• Assist with equipment inspections and ensure the work area is safe before starting a job.
• Report equipment or work-area deficiencies to the supervisor.
