About The Position

The Industrial Assistant Operator sets up and operates industrial cleaning equipment, including high-pressure pumps, hydro-blasting systems, and vacuum units, to perform manual cleaning and maintenance tasks on tank equipment and facility components. The work is performed in heavy industrial settings such as refineries and power plants, and requires following operational guidelines, training, safety procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements. The position involves customer interaction and may require extended periods of travel. Compensation is commensurate with education or work experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel for extended periods of time.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
• Must undergo a physical examination and pre-employment screenings, including driver’s abstract review and drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate high-pressure pumps, hydro-blasting systems, vacuum units, and other cleaning equipment according to operational guidelines, training, and safety procedures.
• Complete safety paperwork and comply with operational training, guidelines, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Work safely around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, heavy industrial settings, including refineries and power plants.
• Perform manual cleaning and maintenance, including installing, fitting, and repairing valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other tank equipment.
• Assist with equipment inspections and confirm the work area is safe before starting a job.
• Report equipment or work-area deficiencies to the supervisor.
