About The Position

The Industrial Assistant Operator joins Badger’s team to operate industrial cleaning equipment and perform manual cleaning and maintenance tasks on tank equipment and facility components and structures. The role uses high-pressure pumps, hydro-blasting systems, and vacuum units in accordance with operational guidelines, training, and safety procedures. Work takes place around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous industrial settings such as refineries and power plants. Compensation is commensurate with education or work experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel for extended periods.
Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
Must undergo a physical examination and pre-employment screenings, including driver’s abstract review and a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate high-pressure pumps, hydro-blasting systems, and vacuum units according to operational guidelines, training, and safety procedures.
Complete safety paperwork and follow operational training, guidelines, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Work safely around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, heavy industrial settings, including refineries and power plants.
Perform manual cleaning and maintenance, including installing, fitting, and repairing valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other tank equipment.
Assist with equipment inspections and ensure the work area is safe before starting a job.
Report deficiencies to the supervisor.
