OCCU is hiring an Indirect Loan Processor to join our Indirect Lending team. This is a remote position for candidates residing in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho, with a starting pay range of $22.00�$27.00 per hour. This role requires availability to work at least one weekend day each week. The Indirect Loan Processor reviews, logs, and enters indirect auto loan packets into the loan system, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely processing. This role supports exceptional member service by verifying required member and dealer documentation and serves as a key safeguard against fraud by identifying red flags and validating account information, identification, and paperwork.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in consumer lending, loan processing, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while exercising sound judgment and discretion in problem solving
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer-based data entry and information compilation, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and credit union systems
  • Professional, courteous communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing contracts and supporting documents
  • Auditing loan files for quality, compliance, and fraud prevention
  • Confirming underwriting conditions and legal requirements are met
  • Maintaining tracking spreadsheets
  • Staying current on procedures and required training
  • Communicating professionally with dealers, vendors, members, and employees through written and verbal correspondence
