Requirements

  • An Associates’ Degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a lending environment is preferred.
  • Must have with the ability to multitask and adapt to change in our rapidly changing environment.
  • Must have an aptitude for figures, ability to ensure quality of work produced and willing to work flexible hours including late nights and Saturdays.
  • Professional appearance coupled with an enthusiastic, assertive personality.
  • Individual must be highly motivated and committed to quality member service.
  • Employee must meet and maintain all requirements as a registered mortgage loan originator employed by a Federally regulated Institution with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
  • Internet speed of 100 mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net).
  • Able to dedicate a quiet space for daily work that is free of sound interruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Present a professional attitude and see that with each member contact the member’s needs were satisfied to the best of your ability. Thank the member for giving us the opportunity to serve their financial needs.
  • Well versed in all lending related software packages that will enable you to perform your job functions effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities within these systems include but are not limited to printing and mailing approval and declination letters to members within the timeframes required by compliance, reviewing error reports relating to Credit Card processing and utilizing the technology involved in the process to fund indirect loans and leases multiple times throughout the day.
  • Concentrate efforts to achieve both individual and organizational goals as set by Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Maximize opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell lending and savings products and services including Member Financial Services and credit insurance offered through CUNA Mutual Group, all part of our commitment to building relationships.
  • Underwrite consumer loan applications regardless of the source and render a level 1 credit decision within the designated timeframes. The Levels of Approval Authority as noted in the Consumer Loan Policy will determine to what extent you can approve consumer loans. It is your responsibility to become well versed in the specific guidelines relating to approval authorities and adhere to them without exception. A good amount of creativity and latitude is required in this position. Document information gathered about specific requests, scenarios or concerns in the applicable notes, processing or conversation log of an application as appropriate.
  • Support the branch network, Call Center, internet and Indirect Lending channels (Groovecar and dealerships directly) by answering any and all questions relating to lending policies and procedures. Your assistance will extend to member questions and/or problems all part of member service.
  • Assist in all phases of work associated with the Lending Department.
  • Consistently monitoring the pipeline of approved product and seeing the approved loans and lines of credit through to disbursement as often as possible.
  • Possess the ability to pull loans applications from the Internet, telephone and any other avenues through which we receive applications.
