About The Position

This position is for an Indigenous Musics course (MUS 2367, Section A) for the Fall 2026 semester. The course is an introduction to indigenous musics with a focus on Indigenous musical cultures in Canada. The delivery mode is virtual. This is a Regular Part-Time Professor position.

Requirements

  • PhD in Musicology or Ethnomusicology with specialization in Indigenous musics
  • PhD in Indigenous Studies with significant evidence of academic work on Indigenous musics
  • Indigenous scholars, knowledge holders, educators, and artists whose lived experience and expertise contribute to teaching and research related to Indigenous musics
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
