About The Position

JAM Industries, a leading distributor of consumer electronic goods, pro-audio equipment and musical instruments, is currently seeking a talented, resourceful, confident candidate to join our team as an Independent Sales Representative for our Erikson Consumer Division. Erikson Consumer distributes a wide range of consumer electronics brands through various categories; Multimedia, Luxury Audio + Custom Installation, Home Comfort and Mobile Audio products. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing sales of assigned brands within a designated territory and/or specific accounts, by prospecting new customers and strengthening relationships with existing clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Consumer Electronic Independent Sales Representative experience
  • Knowledge of territory and commercial retailers
  • Strong drive and highly motivated to identify, secure, and grow new business opportunities
  • Able to work with all customer levels including retailers, end-users, consultants, etc.
  • Experience with, and a strong commitment to customer service
  • Able to work closely with management to ensure achievement of sales objectives
  • Knowledge of working with map pricing policies
  • Knowledge of working with promotional calendars

Responsibilities

  • Managing and supporting existing accounts by maintaining appropriate inventory levels, conducting staff training sessions, merchandising products, and coordinating in-store promotions as needed
  • Prospecting new business through cold calling to both potential and existing customers
  • Following up on leads, opportunities, and customer inquiries to drive sales growth
  • Keeping current with product knowledge and ensuring customers are informed about new and existing offerings
  • Expanding distribution by securing new brand listings and acquiring new customers
  • Participating in trade shows, training seminars, and sales meetings as required
  • Delivering exceptional customer service while building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Actively contributing to weekly conference calls and sales meetings to enhance overall sales performance and effectiveness
