Requirements
- Previous experience serving process preferred
- Knowledge of New York State service-of-process rules
- Reliable transportation and a smartphone
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be willing to cover all areas of a specific County, NY
- This is a contract (1099) role
Nice To Haves
- Background as a legal courier, service of process professional, or a Criminal Justice graduate is a plus
Responsibilities
- Serve legal documents accurately and in a timely manner
- Document all service attempts clearly, including time, location, and method
- Sign off on affidavits of service
- Communicate promptly and professionally regarding service status
