About The Position

ABC Legal Services is seeking independent, organized, and personable process servers to deliver legal documents in Michigan. Process servers choose how much work to take on and set a flexible schedule and service area. The role involves planning routes, making delivery attempts at times when people are likely to be home, and interacting pleasantly with the people receiving documents. ABC Legal provides training, tools, and a mobile app for claiming jobs, mapping stops, and tracking pay. Work is performed outside a traditional office setting, and the position may suit someone seeking either a full-time career or a part-time gig.

Requirements

Own reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance.
Be comfortable using an iPhone, iPad, or Android smart device and working within a mobile app.
Be able to scan and print documents.
Be able to work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Be legally allowed to work in the United States without work authorization.
Meet applicable state requirements, which may include registration as a process server and a minimum age.

Nice To Haves

Experience in process serving or related work is helpful but not required.
Be organized, personable, independent, entrepreneurial, and take pride in your work.

Responsibilities

Deliver legal documents in the assigned service area.
Plan routes and make attempts at times when people are likely to be home.
Make required service attempts every 48 hours, at varied times.
Interact pleasantly and professionally with people to whom documents are delivered.
Use the mobile app to claim jobs, map stops, and track pay.
