We are seeking a compassionate, attentive Independent Living Services (ILS) Instructor to provide afternoon support for an individual with short stature due to an endocrine disorder, moderate intellectual disability, and cerebral palsy. The role focuses on promoting safety, independence, and meaningful participation in daily activities and the community. The ideal candidate is patient, observant, and comfortable providing hands-on assistance while maintaining dignity and respect. The primary goals of support include participation in community outings and activities, developing and strengthening cooking and meal planning skills, assisting with personal care routines to promote independence and safety, and ensuring a safe environment across all settings. Identified challenges to address include dressing assistance, as the individual requires support with dressing and personal care tasks, and safety awareness, as ongoing supervision is necessary during waking hours to reduce the risk of injury or harm in all environments.
