About The Position

Phil-Am Insurance Agency is seeking independent agents to build a remote life insurance business in states where the agency is licensed. Agents may develop prospects through their own network, referrals, community connections, and permitted marketing, work with available inbound sales-call opportunities, or combine both approaches. Inbound-call access and cost arrangements depend on the commission level selected; call availability and sales results are not guaranteed.

Agents earn commissions on qualifying sales under their agreement. This is a commission-only, 1099 independent-contractor opportunity with no base salary or hourly pay, and earnings are not guaranteed. Phil-Am may cover inbound-call costs under qualifying commission arrangements; agents in other arrangements may be responsible for disclosed per-call charges. State eligibility, individual licensing, carrier appointments, and contract terms apply. Applicants who are not yet licensed may apply, and the agency can help them navigate licensing.

Requirements

• Be self-motivated and interested in building an independent insurance business.
• Communicate effectively, listen, explain clearly, and follow through.
• Be comfortable speaking with prospective clients and developing relationships.
• Be able to manage work independently in a remote setting.
• Hold a required life insurance license or be willing to obtain one before conducting licensed activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop prospective client relationships through personal outreach, available inbound sales calls, or both.
• Listen to clients and understand their coverage needs and financial goals.
• Once properly licensed and appointed, explain suitable life insurance options and assist with applications.
• Follow up with prospects and clients throughout the application process.
• Organize sales activity and maintain accurate records.
• Follow applicable insurance, marketing, and carrier requirements.
