Responsibilities
- Assist with laboratory research, experiments, and data collection under the guidance of a mentor
- Learn and apply techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, and cell culture
- Participate in research meetings and present findings to the team
- Collaborate with other interns and research staff on interdisciplinary projects
- Conduct literature reviews to support research findings and hypotheses
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks and records
- Follow all safety guidelines and lab protocols to ensure a safe environment
- Use data analysis tools to interpret results and contribute to research development
- Engage in self-directed learning and apply constructive feedback
- Network with professionals and peers to gain insights into biotech careers
