About The Position

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring an In-Store Shopping Clerk to provide positive customer experiences while fulfilling online orders. The clerk shops in the store using a mobile device equipped with the Instacart Shopper App, selecting products with attention to quality and freshness and substituting for items that may be out of stock. The role also involves communicating order changes, processing transactions through the in-store POS system, and answering customer questions about delivery, the Instacart platform, and the service. The clerk may also help stock shelves, fill frozen food bins, and maintain the store’s cleanliness and presentation. The role requires friendly, outgoing customer service, clear communication, and the ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. It involves standing, walking, and bending throughout the workday, walking up to three miles in an eight-hour shift, and maneuvering a utility cart with a 20-pound load. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Show outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude, with the ability to interact positively with customers.
Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
Be able to operate front-end equipment, including a register, calculator, and scanner.
Be able to stand, walk, and bend throughout the entire workday.
Be able to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 pounds, requiring a force of up to 35 pounds, for up to two hours and a distance of up to 20 feet.
Be able to walk up to three miles in an eight-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Shop in-store and fulfill customers’ online orders using a mobile device equipped with the Instacart Shopper App.
Provide excellent customer service, focusing on product quality and freshness and substituting potential out-of-stock items.
Communicate necessary changes to an order.
Process order transactions using the in-store POS system.
Answer questions as an online store ambassador about order delivery, the Instacart platform, and the benefits of using the service.
May assist with stocking shelves, filling frozen food bins, and maintaining the store’s cleanliness and presentation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
