About The Position

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring an In-Store Shopping Clerk to provide positive customer experiences by selecting fresh, high-quality products and fulfilling customers’ online orders. The clerk shops in-store using a mobile device equipped with the Instacart Shopper App, communicates order changes and substitutions, processes transactions, and answers customer questions about delivery and the Instacart service. The clerk may also support other store areas, including stocking shelves, filling frozen food bins, and maintaining store cleanliness and presentation. The role requires friendly, customer-focused communication and the ability to work as part of a team. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Physical requirements include standing, walking, and bending throughout the workday; walking up to three miles during an eight-hour shift; and maneuvering a utility cart holding 20 pounds with force up to 35 pounds for up to two hours and a distance of up to 20 feet. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude, with the ability to interact positively with customers.
Have good communication skills.
Be able to take direction and participate in a team environment.
Be able to operate front-end equipment, including a register, calculator, and scanner.
Be able to stand, walk, and bend throughout the entire workday.
Be able to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 pounds, requiring force up to 35 pounds, for up to two hours and a distance up to 20 feet.
Be able to walk up to three miles in an eight-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Shop in-store and fulfill customers’ online orders using a mobile device equipped with the Instacart Shopper App.
Provide customer service focused on product quality and freshness, including substituting potential out-of-stock items.
Communicate necessary changes to customer orders.
Process order transactions using the in-store POS system.
Answer questions as an online store ambassador about order delivery, the Instacart platform, and the benefits of using the service.
May assist with stocking shelves, filling frozen food bins, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the store.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
