About The Position
The In Room Dinning Server prepares, delivers, and services guest orders, while providing hospitality and responsible service in hotel guestrooms. The role also includes setting up and presenting VIP amenities, setting up hospitality items, handling checks, clearing tables and trays, and completing assigned side duties. The position works in the hotel’s restaurant, kitchen, and guestroom areas and involves exposure to extreme temperatures, food and beverage items, and hazardous cleaning chemicals. This is a union-represented position; hours and shifts are not guaranteed and are scheduled according to business needs, availability, and seniority requirements. The listed pay rate is $20.57.
Responsibilities
- Know service times, the menu, and specials.
- Prepare, deliver, and service orders.
- Ask guests whether additional service is needed.
- Be responsible for each check.
- Pick up tables and trays.
- Set up, deliver, and present VIP amenities.
- Set up hospitality items.
- Consult with a supervisor about any difficulty with food pickup.
- Complete assigned side duties.
- Minimize breakage.
- Attend designated staff meetings and training sessions.
