About The Position

The In-Room Dining Supervisor oversees the In-Room Dining Department and acts as manager on duty when an In-Room Dining Manager or Assistant Manager is not present. The supervisor oversees and participates in taking guest orders and preparing trays and deliveries in accordance with quality standards, while ensuring guest satisfaction. The position supports 24-hour in-room dining and private bar services in an elegantly appointed environment, and may involve tasks outside the normal scope of the role during busy periods to ensure a positive guest experience. The role is based at Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, an oceanfront hotel in Surfside, Florida. Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization. The schedule is full-time and may include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
Knowledge of food and beverage service, cost control, labor control, and accounting.
Ability to operate computer equipment and other food and beverage computer systems.
Valid work authorization for the United States.

Responsibilities

Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline In-Room Dining employees to ensure established cultural and core standards are met.
Be visible in the operation, recognize employees, promote good public relations, and handle guest, client, and group-contact complaints, concerns, and special requests.
Describe and ensure the quality of food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, and provide knowledge of wine and spirits.
Attend regular operational meetings to support coordination and cooperation between departments.
Observe the physical condition of outlet facilities and equipment and recommend corrections and improvements as needed.
Supervise and participate in taking guest orders and preparing trays and deliveries according to quality standards.
Complete locally and federally required training classes or certifications as required.
Perform tasks outside the role's usual scope when needed to support a positive guest experience.
