About The Position

The In-Room Dining Assistant performs food service duties related to serving hot and cold foods to hospital patients, staff, visitors, and other customers. The role serves attractive and nutritious food to patients while following proper food-safety techniques and established department quality standards. It delivers meal trays directly to patients, verifies their accuracy, and protects patient confidentiality. Duties also include assembling patient trays on the room service line, sanitizing equipment and small wares, stocking assigned areas, washing dishes, and maintaining overall department sanitation. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Demonstrate good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to interact courteously with patients, visitors, and staff.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in tray assembly and delivery.
Have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of previous food service experience in a healthcare setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
