About The Position

The In-Room Dining Assistant performs food service duties involving the service of hot and cold foods to hospital patients, staff, visitors, and other customers. The role serves attractive and nutritious food while following proper food safety techniques and established department quality standards. It includes delivering meal trays directly to patients, verifying order accuracy, and protecting patient confidentiality. Additional duties include assembling patient trays on the room service line, sanitizing equipment and small wares, stocking assigned areas, dishwashing, and maintaining overall department sanitation. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Demonstrate good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to interact courteously with patients, visitors, and staff.
Ensure accurate and timely tray assembly and delivery.
Have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of previous food service experience in a healthcare setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
