About The Position

Levin Furniture is hiring an In-Home Furniture Technician in Bedford, Ohio. The position ensures the highest quality of product through inspection and repair while following product-handling and customer-service standards safely, accurately, and efficiently. The work environment is residential, and travel is required. The scheduled shift may vary due to business needs.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately, neatly, and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-service skills.
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mastery of wood, fabric, and leather upholstery repair.
• Certification in bedding inspection in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers by telephone.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and repetitively lift cartons weighing approximately 50–100+ pounds.
• Ability to use vision to read documents and a computer screen.
• Ability to use hands to type information into a computer.
• Travel is required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the GERS system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, evaluate, and repair merchandise.
• Use safe and secure material-handling methods in accordance with product-handling standards.
• Report errors found on documents to a supervisor.
• Complete all documentation, including digital photos, neatly and accurately.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of customer parts.
• Operate manual and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
