About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families in Toledo, Sylvania, Oregon, Perrysburg, Rossford - Ohio & Monroe, Bedford, Adrian & Ann Arbor - Michigan. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate oversight. The focus is on providing compassionate, unhurried end-of-life care. Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led practice that explicitly does not use non-compete contracts, ensuring veterinarians maintain control over their careers. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians seeking a less demanding pace than general or emergency practice, those returning to the profession, or individuals needing flexible scheduling around family commitments.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
• Weekend availability (rotational)
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
• Exude compassion, dignity, and respect
• Professional communication skills
