About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families in Birmingham, Forestdale, Fairfield, Homewood & Center Point, Alabama. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate production pressures. The focus is on providing dedicated time and compassionate care to pets and their families during end-of-life moments. Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led practice that explicitly does not use non-compete agreements, ensuring veterinarians have career freedom. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians looking to transition from the fast pace of general or emergency practice, those returning to medicine, or individuals seeking a schedule that accommodates family life.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
- Weekend Availability (Rotational)
- Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted
- Professional Communication Skills
