About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking part-time, flexible in-home caregivers serving south Minneapolis and surrounding areas. The role involves providing individualized care to clients in their homes, including personal care, transfers, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and assistance with daily activities. Shifts range from 1 to 12 hours, with suggested availability windows of 6 a.m.–12 p.m., 12–5 p.m., or 5–10 p.m. The position includes communicating with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update plans of care. Requirements

Compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience providing hands-on care in a home health, assisted living, group home, or hospital setting.
Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
Availability to work two weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
Communicate with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care.
