About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients in their homes. Immediate cases and shifts are available in Covington, Virginia. The client is female and prefers a female caregiver. Full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules are available. The role involves assisting clients with daily personal care, mobility, meals, medication reminders, companionship, and light housekeeping, while observing and reporting changes in health or behavior. PCA training is provided for interested candidates who are not certified. The company offers weekly pay, benefits eligibility for full-time employees, ongoing training, provided PPE, and referral bonus programs.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for people interested in PCA work.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card and two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable disposition.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as moving between a bed and wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior.
