About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a caring, compassionate caregiver to provide services to clients in their homes and local areas. Caregivers help patients remain independent and safe at home by assisting with personal care, activities of daily living, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, transportation, and companionship. Prior experience is not required. The company provides paid in-office initial training and ongoing training. Pay is based on certifications and experience, with a stated range of $11.00–$18.00 per hour. Flexible scheduling is offered, and Daily Pay is available. The role requires protecting patient confidentiality, reliability, and punctuality. The position is with an independently owned and operated Home Helpers Home Care franchise; hiring decisions are made by the local franchisee.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver's license.
Have reliable transportation.
Pass a background check as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information.
Assist with meal preparation, serving meals, cleaning meal preparation areas, and helping patients eat when needed and applicable.
Provide personal care, including baths, dressing, grooming, denture care, and skin care.
Perform housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, taking out trash, dusting, cleaning the refrigerator, and washing and putting away dishes.
Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry, including using a laundromat if needed.
Run errands such as grocery shopping, picking up medical supplies or prescriptions, and visiting the post office.
Assist with shopping, transportation, and telehealth visits.
Provide companionship and aid with activities of daily living.
Be reliable, dependable, rarely absent, and punctual.
