About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate in-home personal care. Caregivers support clients with daily activities in the comfort of their homes. PCA training is offered for interested applicants who are not certified. The posting describes a case for a male client on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and notes that other scheduling options may be available, including full-time, part-time, PRN, weekdays, weekends, and overnights.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for people interested in PCA work.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card.
- Two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as moving from a bed to a wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior.
