About The Position

The Life Skills Trainer / Caregiver provides training, assistance, and supervision to individuals in residential and community settings. The role supports daily living activities, community involvement, positive relationships with employers, and implementation of therapeutic and behavioral plans in collaboration with clinical staff. This is a part-time position in Whitley City, Kentucky, scheduled Monday through Friday on the day shift, paying $14 per hour.

Requirements

• Have a valid in-state or out-of-state intermediate or full driver’s license; a learner’s permit does not qualify.
• Have at least one year of driving experience after obtaining a learner’s permit, per company policy.
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Successfully clear required background checks.
• Demonstrate a caring, compassionate attitude and dedication to assisting others.
• Have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills.
• Demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and commitment to quality care.

Nice To Haves

• Six months to one year of experience in the human services field.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, assistance, and supervision in residential and community settings.
• Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration.
• Encourage community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings or providing transportation to work and activities.
• Support positive relationships between individuals served and their employers.
• Work with clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans.
