In-Home Caregiver - Locust Grove
About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring CNA, NA, and PCA caregivers to provide compassionate in-home personal care to a male veteran client in Locust Grove. The advertised client schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The agency offers full-time, part-time, and PRN scheduling, with flexible schedules that may include weekdays, weekends, and overnights. Weekly pay is offered, up to 40 hours per week. Benefits are available to eligible full-time PCA employees. PCA training is offered for interested applicants who are not certified, along with ongoing training and provided PPE. Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for those interested in PCA work.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card.
- Two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as moving between a bed and wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in a client’s health or behavior.
