About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring a CNA, NA, or PCA to provide compassionate in-home personal care to a male veteran client in Locust Grove. The posting lists a Monday–Friday schedule from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and also states that full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules are available. Care is provided in clients’ homes. Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for applicants interested in PCA certification.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card.
- Two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as moving between a bed and wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in a client’s health or behavior.
