In-Home Caregiver – Williamsburg, VA
About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients in Williamsburg, Virginia. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and provide companionship in the comfort of their homes. PCA training is provided for interested candidates who are not certified. The position offers full-time, part-time, or PRN scheduling, with flexible availability that may include weekdays, weekends, and overnights. The posting describes a Monday/Wednesday/Thursday day-shift schedule and weekly pay, up to 40 hours per week. Full-time PCAs are eligible for benefits. PPE and ongoing training are provided. Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for those interested in PCA work.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card.
- Two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable disposition.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as transfers from bed to wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
