About The Position

At CareVet of Williamsburg, we're looking for a veterinarian who wants to practice high-quality medicine, grow professionally, and be part of a collaborative team — while still having plenty of time for life outside of work. Whether you're an experienced veterinarian looking for more autonomy or a new graduate ready to start your career with a supportive team, we'd love to meet you! We're a two-doctor small animal practice with closed weekends, experienced technician support, and a team that values thoughtful medicine, collaboration, and long-term client relationships. Eligible full-time veterinarians can receive a $60,000 signing bonus package, along with competitive base salary, production compensation, and comprehensive benefits. Your days will include a mix of wellness visits, sick appointments, surgery, and dentistry while working alongside experienced colleagues and a dedicated support team. For experienced veterinarians, you'll have the autonomy to manage your cases and practice medicine confidently, with a collaborative team available whenever another perspective is helpful. For new graduates, you'll have the opportunity to build your confidence, strengthen your clinical skills, and learn alongside experienced veterinarians who are happy to share their knowledge and support your development. Whether you're just beginning your veterinary career or bringing years of experience, we want you to feel supported, valued, and excited about the medicine you're practicing. If you're interested in exotic animal medicine, there's also an opportunity to incorporate it into your caseload — but exotics are completely optional! You'll have access to the tools and clinical support needed to provide quality patient care, including Ultrasound, Digital dental radiography, Dedicated surgical suite, Experienced clinical support staff, Small animal and optional exotic caseload. Our established client base and variety of cases offer opportunities to continue developing your skills, pursue your clinical interests, and build meaningful relationships with clients and their pets. Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
Strong fondness and understanding of animals
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of animal behavior
Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
