About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients in their own homes. Immediate cases and shifts are available in Covington, Virginia. PCA training is offered for interested candidates who are not certified. The role offers full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and overnights. The company provides weekly pay, benefits eligibility for full-time PCAs, ongoing training, PPE, and referral bonus programs.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for people interested in PCA work.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card.
- Two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable disposition.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as transfers between a bed and wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
