About The Position
Visiting Angels of Reading is hiring In Home Caregiver - Housekeepers to work in and around Berks and Northern Chester County. Part-time and full-time positions are available, with day, evening, and overnight shifts. The role provides personal care, household assistance, meal support, mobility and transportation assistance, and companionship to seniors and/or disabled adults. The work is described as personal one-on-one care, with supportive staff and flexible schedules.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of professional or personal experience caring for seniors and/or disabled adults.
- Reliable transportation.
- Reliability and professionalism.
- Enjoy assisting others.
- References and background checks will be performed.
- Applicants must be willing to work in a drug-free environment.
Nice To Haves
- Dementia or Alzheimer's experience.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential; it is not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals.
- Assist with transfers, walking, and physical activity.
- Provide transportation assistance to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping.
- Provide companionship and cheerful, positive assistance.
