About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Humble office is seeking compassionate In Home Caregiver - Housekeepers to support seniors and others in need throughout Northeast Houston, including Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita, Huffman, Dayton, Liberty, Porter, Cleveland, and North Houston. The role offers the opportunity to provide companionship and practical support to clients and their families. Duties include light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, mobility assistance, and transportation. Advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care is available to help caregivers develop their skills. Shift options include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, PRN, and short shifts; full-time and part-time options are listed.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver orientation.
Knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Clean background.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including to appointments and on walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
