About The Position

The HR Consultant I evaluates and defines clients’ needs and consults on configuring Paylocity HR applications to meet them. The work includes converting HR data, advising on performance management and onboarding implementation, and coordinating use of the self-service portal. The role helps clients integrate HR products and solutions through project management and a consultative HR approach, supporting them throughout implementation and coordinating with internal departments.

Requirements

Willingness to perform a full range of tasks and projects under supervision.
Strong interpersonal communication, writing, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
Ability to sit at a desk or workstation for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours per day.
Ability to operate a computer and phone systems, type, and use multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
Ability to work on-site five days per week during designated work hours.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
Previous customer service or client-facing experience.
SHRM certification.

Responsibilities

Help clients with simple setups strategically integrate the full suite of HR products and solutions within the Paylocity application using project management and a consultative HR approach.
Provide industry-leading customer service.
Conduct an introduction call to verify contracted HR products, understand client priorities, and develop a suggested implementation timeline.
Conduct an alignment call to answer HR product-specific questions and collect HR data and configuration requirements.
Work directly with clients on day-to-day functions supporting HR solutions throughout implementation.
Research and provide guidance on the interpretation of human resource policies.
Coordinate internally between clients and multiple Paylocity departments so clients have the tools needed to use HR products fully.
