About The Position

The HR Consultant I evaluates and defines clients’ needs and consults on configuring Paylocity HR applications to meet those needs. The role includes converting HR data and supporting implementation of performance management, onboarding, and the self-service portal. This is a 100% in-office position based in Meridian, Idaho; remote or hybrid work is not available, and employees must work on-site five days per week during designated hours. Some travel, up to 5%, is required.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal communication, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
• Willingness to perform a full range of tasks and projects under supervision.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours a day.
• Ability to operate a computer, use phone systems, type, and use multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week during designated work hours.
• Ability to travel up to 5%.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
• Previous customer service or client-interfacing experience.
• SHRM certification.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with simple setups strategically integrate the full suite of HR products and solutions within the Paylocity application using project management and a consultative HR approach.
• Provide industry-leading customer service.
• Conduct introduction calls to verify contracted HR products, understand client priorities, and suggest an implementation timeline.
• Conduct alignment calls to answer HR product-specific questions and collect HR data and configuration requirements.
• Work directly with clients on day-to-day functions supporting HR solutions throughout implementation.
• Research and provide guidance on interpreting human resource policies.
• Coordinate internally between clients and Paylocity departments so clients have the tools needed to use HR products fully.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
